K12 Payment Center
Did you know…?
K12PaymentCenter provides convenience and information to manage school meal accounts.
Visit www.k12paymentcenter.com to make deposits or monitor your student's meal account.
Gaston County School Nutrition offers K12PaymentCenter, a state-of-the-art online service that provides you the convenience and information you need to manage your student's meal account. This feature speeds up serving lines in the cafeteria, eliminates the need to send checks or cash to school, takes away your concerns about lost or forgotten lunch money, and ensures that your child will receive a nutritious meal.
Read to Achieve
As a part of Read to Achieve, all third graders will take the BOG Reading Test on September 13th.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
When dropping off your child in the morning, please drop them off in the front of the school. We discourage parents dropping students off on Eagle Road. Any students that arrive after 8:00 a.m. by car are considered tardy. An adult must bring the child into the school to check them in.
In the afternoons, all second and third grade car riders are picked up in the front of the school. All fourth and fifth grade car riders are picked up in the bus circle after buses are cleared.
TRAFFIC UPDATE FROM OFFICER HUFF
Greetings from Officer Huff,
Traffic seems to be heavier this year. I’d like to give a few suggestions that may safely expedite your movement in and out of the school.
Consider dropping off at Foursquare Church parking lot. It is blocked from thru traffic on south end, but you can enter and exit from Park Dr., north end and from the drive on Eagle Rd.
Watch the officer closely for direction, especially if a substitute is directing.
SIGNAL EARLY! I can plan better if I know your directional desire.
Keep close, don’t allow gaps in line.
Please avoid cell phone use, we all need full attention to driving.
Watch for kids crossing.
On rare occasions traffic is jammed at Main St. You may be directed west on Eagle Rd. to Cramerton. You can turn right on Lakewood and go to Wilkinson Blvd. or left on Lakewood and go to south New Hope Rd. I will only do this as a last resort.
If you pick up 4th and 5th in the afternoon, line up is on Burns Mitchell. Please do not use Park Dr. to access the rear parking lot. Please use Ferrell Ave. to access Burns Mitchell. We have a heavy volume to handle in a small window of time.
Thanks for your help and it is a pleasure to serve you.
