Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Welcome back! We are thrilled to begin the 2021-2022 school year with you. As the field of education continues to evolve and challenge us all, we will continue to recognize these challenges as opportunities, and a chance to make a profound impact on our young leaders. As always, we look forward to collaborating, supporting, and navigating these times together. On behalf of the amazing staff and members associated with WASC, I wish you all a happy, healthy, and safe school year!

Virtual Accreditation Visit Update

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenging times, accreditation visits during the fall of 2021 will continue to be held virtually. We are hopeful that we will be able to begin to resume some in-person visits in the spring semester.

Professional Development Units for Visiting Committee Training/ Participation

ACS WASC is offering two professional development units for a course that prepares educators to serve as WASC accreditation visiting committee members to facilitate continuous school improvement. The credits are offered through the Teachers College of San Joaquin (TCSJ), which is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission. Click here for additional information.

ACS WASC Portals

The ACS WASC School and Member portals were released during the 2020-2021 school year. School and visiting committee materials have been moved from the WASC website and are now found in the portals. Schools and visiting committees members will only see the materials appropriate to them. We hope you have had a chance to log in and familiarize yourself with the new experience.

The new District/Association Portal will be released during the month of September.

ACS WASC Accredited Logo and Communication Toolkit

”Accredited” logos, accreditation announcement resources, and merchandise order forms are now available in the Communication Toolkit located on the Home page of the School Portal.
