Mr. Gamez the Librarian, is preparing for our LSLA December Enchanted Book Fair. If you have any decorations that match this theme and you would like to loan it to us for the book fair, (think gnomes, fairies, dragons, unicorns, woodland creatures, etc.) please let us know. (CGamez@lonestartx.org)

With the recent change in temperature, please be sure that your child is appropriately dressed for the weather. Make sure names are clearly written inside all jackets/outerwear.

A note from the Nurse's office:

Any medication including over the counter medication should accompany a prescription from the physician and a form filled out in the school office. This includes cough drops, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and cough syrup, etc.

Please do not send medication to school with your child without the required documentation. Without the required documentation the medicine will not be given and you may be required to come to the school to administer it or to pick up your child.

BOX Tops for education

Easy Ways to Help LSLA Earn “Free” Money!

Clip Boxtops for Education – Each boxtop brought in is worth 10 cents to the school.

Thank you to all our families for your continued support. All “free” money that is given to our school goes to support our students in many ways. It is used for supplies, programming, field trips, and much more.

Visit BTFE.com for a list of participating products and additional ways to earn.

Please keep your child's carpool number/tag on your dashboard until you have your child in the car. It is necessary for Coach Hurtado to see the number so she can call for the student when you pull close to pick up. We appreciate your help!

Currently, all parents have been given their permanent carpool tags.

In order for a student to be dismissed, it is important that the person in the vehicle has the newly updated carpool tag.

With no carpool tag, we are NOT allowed to dismiss the student endless prior arrangements were made with the LSLA Main Office.

Message from the Main Office:

LSLA Families!

Now that fall is upon us, we know that temperatures can swing very quickly. Please make sure that your child comes dressed for the appropriate weather condition. When temperatures are under 50 degrees, please make sure that your child comes to school with a sweater/coat. As temperatures increase, these can be removed, but please plan accordingly. Also, please make sure to label your child’s coats and sweatshirts. This will help there to be fewer items in our lost and found.

Accidents happen and when they do, children do often need to change their clothing. It is always a good idea to have an extra set of clothing packed in your child’s backpack in case an accident should happen.

We hope you have an enjoyable Thanksgiving Break and as always WE thank you for entrusting LSLA with your child’s future, together we make it possible for every child to succeed.
