Parent Input Forms for Placement Now Available- Due 4/25!

This month we are beginning to create class rosters for the 2018-2019 school year. I can't believe it's that time already!

Here at WCH, we utilize a variety of information from teachers, administrators and parents to build successful learning environments for all of our students. A successful placement process involves maintaining a balance among classes in terms of gender, academic ability, disciplinary and social needs, learning styles, and individual needs of the students.

We strive to place each child in a learning environment that will maximize their opportunities for success. If you have information you would like considered in your child’s placement, you may complete and submit THIS FORM no later than April 25, 2018. Staffing assignments for next year have not yet been finalized so will not be able to honor requests for a specific teacher, however we will do our best to honor your feedback.

Information submitted via email or through other means will not be considered. All information shared is confidential and submitted electronically to principal, Amanda Prehn.

We appreciate your feedback!

We hope you can attend our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast!

Please RSVP to let us know that you are joining us, April 20. Come and go any time from 7:30 to 9:00 am.

Volunteers Needed During Lunch Time

WCHE student lunches begin at 10:45 and end at 1:10. We'd love to have volunteers come in to assist students with opening their drinks, opening condiment packages, passing out plastic-ware and napkins, etc. If you're looking for something fun to do any time between 10:45 and 1:10, please sign up here. Thanks!

The Lost & Found is Overflowing!

Have you noticed that you have a lot more closet space than you used to have at your house? If so, maybe it's because we have all of your coats and sweaters and hoodies in our Lost & Found.

With the frequent weather changes we've experienced lately, the Lost & Found has exploded with many very nice coats, sweaters, eyeglasses, lunch boxes, and water bottles. Please be sure to check our Lost & Found for your child(ren)'s belongings before April 20. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity if not claimed by April 20. Thanks!

Calling all Box Tops! Calling all Box Tops!

Please remember to save your Box Tops for Education and donate them to West Cypress Hills. The classroom with the most Box Tops each quarter wins a special prize.

And, be sure to remind Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts, and Uncles to save theirs, too!

Box Tops for Education labels can be found on a number of grocery items. For more information about the products that support Box Tops for Education, click here. Box Tops can be placed on this form and turned in to your child's teacher. Thanks!

Kardivas Are Having A Party!

The Kardivas district-wide end of year party will be loads of fun for all. The party will be at the Lake Travis High School Cafeteria. To get there, take the Spillman Loop entrance into the high school campus. Follow it past the gym, tennis courts, and LTISD Administrative Offices. If you would like to walk your daughter in to the cafeteria, park in the back lot to the right (P8,) or, for drop off, just drop her off by the banner. The Kardivas will be entering the cafeteria from the outside door along the chain-link fence. DO NOT DROP OFF AT THE FRONT DOOR OF THE HIGH SCHOOL. Just look for the Kardivas banner and balloons! Have fun!
