Culture Fair is This Week!
Culture Fair will be this Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Our kiddos are so excited to share all of their projects related to our unit on China. International food will also be available for purchase in the cafeteria. Students will receive a passport book and will visit each classroom to discover facts about each country. They will receive a "stamp" each time they answer a trivia question correctly. Students with completed passports will receive a prize at the end of the evening. I hope everyone will be able to attend:)
Homework Gets a Small Update
This week students will begin working on Readtheory.org each night. This is an excellent website for daily reading skills practice. They should spend 20 minutes reading and answering comprehension questions daily (Monday-Thursday). I will check their progress weekly to ensure that they are completing it each night. They will also have their weekly math sheet and greek and latin root word activities to complete. Students have their login and password in the front of their agendas. Please let me know if your child does not have access to the internet at home, and I will have them work on Readtheory each morning for morning work.
Pull!
Students experiment with balanced and unbalanced forces in science class.
Pull!
Mostly they experienced unbalanced forces:)
Poor Peyton!
It was a fun activity, but boy did they complain about rope burn!
Great Wall is Almost Finished!
We only need 6 more milk jugs to complete our wall. I am planning to spray paint the wall on Monday or Tuesday afternoon, depending on the weather. Thank you to everyone who donated. It was a fun, and funny at times, activity for my boys to complete!
