Teacher Spotlight - Katie Harris at Greenwood
I am a second grade teacher at Greenwood Elementary. This is my 21st year in education.
The most exciting new technology idea I've tried in my classroom is Ten Marks. This is a free website for additional math instruction that is common core aligned and promotes higher order thinking. You can give assignments to the whole class or to individuals. Students work at their own pace and can watch short instructional videos when they don't understand a topic.
If I were Queen for a day and could change anything in education, I would find a way to make parents and caregivers more accountable for their students' education. In my opinion, that is the biggest missing link in today's public schools.
