Partee General News
Partee Elementary Parent Newsletter - January 2023
Principal's Message
Happy New Year! I hope your break included lots of rest and fun with your family. Most importantly, I hope that your family was able to stay healthy and safe. We were happy to welcome our students back to school last week. Many of them were having to adjust to being back on their normal routine. I'm sure our students were used to staying up late and sleeping in because that's exactly what I did on my break. It's good to get back on a schedule. 😉
At Partee we are looking forward to the second semester. We experienced great success the first half of the year and we are ready to finish the year strong. Please make sure to mark your calendars for the events we have each month. You can find this information in the newsletter and on the calendar that's on the Partee ES website.

PTA Virtual Meeting - January 18th @ 6:30 pm
Counselor's Corner
Attendance- Please be reminded to send in attendance/doctors notes when your child is absent or tardy.
Students who are on time to school and actively engaged in instructional activities greatly increase their knowledge, skills, and learning in general. It is my belief that students who are consistently tardy or absent miss out on teacher directions for morning activities, school wide morning announcements, and overall, lose valuable instructional time. Instructional time is needed to acquire skills in reading, math, spelling, writing, social studies, or science.
Looking Ahead:
Child Lures Lesson- Letters were sent home prior to the break and will be posted on our website. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the school counselor. Students will begin receiving the lessons in January.
Career Day- March 31, 2023, in person for our students

I Get Juiced Food Truck
Students at Partee Elementary School start each morning with Generals Time which provides students with an opportunity to receive enrichment and intervention in the areas of reading and math. During Generals Time, some of our students in 4th and 5th grade have worked on a math project in which they were to construct a 3D food truck, design a floor plan, and calculate costs for the truck. On Friday, December 16, Angel Jackson brought her food truck to Partee. Students were able to view the interior of the food truck and ask questions about the truck and the business. An award was presented to the students who created the best food truck. We're thankful to partner with wonderful business owners in our community!
