What is your role at Souhegan?
Main Office Admin Assistant
How long have you been with Souhegan?
One year in February!
What do you love about your job?
Being surrounded by hard-working people with great senses of humor is my favorite part of working at Souhegan.
What do you like to do outside of work?
As a military spouse I have moved seven times since 2009 and New Hampshire has been my favorite place to live. From the accessibility of the ocean, mountains, Boston, countless charming towns, and wonderful people my family and I have enjoyed exploring New England in our free time.
If you were given one wish what would it be?
If I was given one wish it would be to travel the world and experience different cultures BUT still be able to come home every night and sleep in my own bed.
Do you have a favorite quote or mantra?
From childhood and still to this day, my mother gives a simple reminder to "find the positive". Some days it is much easier than others but I do my best to find the positive whether that's a surprise snow day or a piece of chocolate I forgot I hid in my desk haha.

Community Council
Community Council has recently passed two proposals. The first proposal that was passed will use weighted GPA to identify the Valedictorian and Salutatorian beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. The second proposal will move the election of the School Board Representative from the spring to the fall, open up the position to anyone in the school, and be voted on by the entire student body. This change will align with a new state law that was recently passed. We will continue discussing this proposal at our next meeting, which is Monday, January 9th from 5:00-7:00 pm in rooms 126/127.
Environmental Club
Did you know that in the United States, 85% of our clothes and other textiles end up in landfills or burned? Give your unwanted clothes a second chance and support the Souhegan Environmental Club by donating to the Clothing and Shoe Drive! Edit your closets and clean out your bedrooms by bringing in your used clothing, shoes, bed linens, bags, backpacks, towels, and outerwear and drop them off to the Ecosmith Recyclers Trailer parked in front of the school. The trailer will be available between January 3rd-13th.This is a community wide fundraiser, tell your parents and other community members so that we can upcycle as much as we can. If you have any questions, you can contact the leaders of Souhegan’s Environmental Club: emma.linton@student39.org, marina.tower@student39.org, or jackson.hipp@student39.org Thank you so much for your donations.

JOIN THE FLOCK!!
Souhegan High School will be participating in the Penguin Plunge February 11th at Hampton Beach to benefit Special Olympics NH. Did you know that Special Olympics strives to create a better world by fostering the acceptance and inclusion of all people? Through the power of sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities. Athletes find joy, confidence, and fulfillment — on the playing field and in life. They inspire their communities to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential. The donations we collect will go to support this important work!
You can get involved in 2 ways:
Join our flock by registering at https://fundraising.sonh.org/event/hs-penguin-plunge and start collecting donations. If you’re not able to make the plunge on Feb 11th in person, you can make the plunge your own with a DIY kit!
