Fall Fundraiser Update

Hello Pirates!

I hope everyone has been able to enjoy this BEAUTIFUL fall weather we've been having! It's now time to turn in those Fall Fundraiser Envelopes! Please send them to school with your child this week so the PTO can start sending back rewards for those that were able to get all their spaces scratched off!

If there are any questions, please contact me at jwilkins1983@icloud.com.

Thank you so much for all your hard work in helping raise money for our teachers and classrooms! We will be sending out "wish lists" requests to the teachers in the next couple weeks!

Happy sailing!

Jessica Wilkins

PTO President

Information Grades 6-8

Message from the MS Teachers:

I have attached the checklists for each grade for the week, and these lists have also been posted on Google Classroom for students to access.

Students who are behind are going to start receiving interventions this week during the school day to try to get them caught up. If your student is one of these, your student will bring a letter home on Monday (today, Mary Potter) or Wednesday (Tar River). We want all students to be successful and this is our first step in trying to ensure that they are.

We will begin offering after school tutoring and additional supports next week. Every Monday (Mary Potter) and Wednesday (Tar River), students will be able to stay after school until 3pm to receive additional help or to have a quiet working environment. Students do not have to need additional help to be able to stay.

The next Science Olympiad practices will be next week on Tuesday (Mary Potter) and Wednesday (Tar River) until 2:30pm. If students missed the first meeting, but are still interested in competing, they are welcome to come join us!

Please reach out to us if you have any questions!
