School Supplies

We are fortunate to offer the students the materials they need in the classroom. This means that we offer pencil boxes, notebooks, folders, crayons, makers, glue sticks for every student. Your child's teacher might on occasion ask for donations for projects. All classrooms need tissue and disinfecting wipes. If you are able to donate two of each to the classroom that would be appreciated.

Reminder Parking Lot

This is a friendly reminder to keep the school zone safe we must all work together when driving in the area.

- The parking lot is for staff and visitors (people with scheduled meetings) only.

- Parking is allowed on Flanders and Steele Street.

- In the morning the circular driveway in the front of the school is open for drop off only. Do not park or get out of your car in the circular driveway. Your child must exit from the passenger side of the car.

-Buses use our side driveway in the morning. Please do not park in this area.

-In the afternoon the parking lot is closed. Establish a pick up area with your child (classroom door, near the flagpole, near the bike rack, etc. )

The picture below shows the flow of traffic for the morning drop off only. The parking lot is closed to all cars in the afternoon.

Parent Teacher Council-PTC

Last April, an election took place to establish a Parent Teacher Council (PTC) at Briarwood.

Our first meeting is going to be held on September 26th at 6 PM in the media center. Please consider coming out to meet us. The purpose of the PTC is to increase parent involvement, to enhance communications between the school and families, to support community building, to plan fundraising and fun events, and to support student success
