Commitment to In-Person or Remote Learning

At the start of this school year, families were provided with the opportunity to switch between in-person and remote learning every two weeks. In order to provide both students and staff with a consistent learning environment and schedule, families will be asked to commit to either in-person or remote learning by trimester.

The deadline to notify the District of your intent to in-person or remote learn is this Friday, October 9. This decision will run through Trimester 1 on Friday, November 20. There will be an opportunity to switch again for Trimester 2.

*Only families who are switching to/from in-person or remote learning must notify the District of their intent to switch. Families who choose to remain in their current learning environment do not have to reach out to the District.

Zoom Expectations

Providing a successful remote learning environment for students is a collaboration between the District and its families. Please be reminded of SD74's Zoom Expectations:

  • If you are late joining the Zoom meeting, please reach out to SD74's Technology Help Desk at techsupport@sd74.org.
  • If students miss the window to be admitted into the Zoom meeting, they may have to wait to be admitted at the next break in the schedule. We ask that parents/guardians also remind students to remain punctual on Zoom to ensure each student participates in class throughout the entire school day.
  • If you are a parent and are looking to get in touch with your child's teacher(s), please do not interrupt the remote learning sessions on Zoom. Instead, send an email to your child's teacher to schedule a time to meet outside of class.

We thank you for your continued support in providing students a great learning experience.

Mask Etiquette

Masks are required on campus at all times. See below for a few resources from the CDC on how to wear a mask and washing masks.

Picture Day

In Person Learners

Picture Day for all in-person learners is scheduled for Thursday, October 8.

Remote Learners

Remote learners will have an opportunity to have their photo taken on campus on Friday, October 9 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Families will drive to their child's school and photos will be taken outside under the tents. We anticipate the process to take no more than 5 minutes upon your arrival to campus.
