Opening Statement

Nikola Tesla had a big contribution to electrical innovation. He created a safe and easy way to transfer electricity long distance.

Who was Nikola Tesla?

Tesla was a Serb who lived in modern day Croatia for most of his early years. He later became a U.S. citizen in 1891 in order to work for Thomas Edison in New York. He studied telephony which has to do with the electronic transmission of things such as voice. He also later obtained around 300 patents for his inventions.

What did Tesla create?

Tesla's major project was the creation of AC power. He also designed the Tesla coil, induction motor, rotating magnetic field, and remote control vehicle. These were just some of many projects Tesla worked on. X-ray was another thing Tesla experimented with although most of it was by mistake and he could not reproduce more x-ray images. Many of his inventions led to new discoveries and products today.

Why is Tesla important?

Nikola Telsa's studies led to the mass production of the wall outlets we see everywhere and the remotes we use when watching TV. He also is why we can see our broken bones, and why we can talk to anyone miles away.


Nikola Tesla is the reason why we have many of the things we use in our everyday lives. He contributed greatly to the study of electricity and was ahead of his time. Tesla is considered one of the most famous inventors in history, and for obvious reasons. Without his studies the world would be a whole lot darker.
