Welcome

The media specialists are here for you! We have decided to highlight and provide you all with three great resources per week and grade level to enhance your remote learning. We realize these are overwhelming, challenging and unprecedented times so we have made an effort to keep things simple. These resources can be utilized by students, staff and parents. Please feel free to contact any of us by email to share ideas, concerns and questions. Also remember that we have resources listed on our individual websites to enhance your remote learning.

Elementary Level Resources

Loom! Screen Recording at Your Fingertips.

Whether you want to read aloud a story, or give step by step on-screen directions Loom is available. Loom is a free, easy to use, Chromebook extension (also available in all other formats) that allows teachers or administration to screen record while using the microphone to add narration. It is easy to use and is a great resource for a virtual learning environment.

Middle School Resources

Infobase Database FREE Access for Research

Infobase is offering a FREE login and password to 2 Custom Collections of their databases and streaming video products. Access has been extended until 6/20 so these resources will be available for the rest of the school year!

Join Your Library Media Centers Google Classrooms!

Mrs. Lenko and Mrs. Yacovelli have set up google classrooms for Fernwood and Alder students to connect, share resources, read together and support our students through this pandemic. We are setting up meetings during the students tutorial times to visit with students, talk about books and show them where they can find access to free ebooks.
