Tik Tok Challenge - Parents, please read.
A recent topic trending among children and teens on TikTok is called “Devious Licks” where students are encouraged to damage or steal things from their local schools, or potentially harm other students and staff members.
We have already had incidents of stolen items and vandalism that mimics the popular TikTok trend. Not only is this posing a disruption to the learning process for our students, but it’s also causing detrimental damage to our local and state-funded facilities.
This behavior will not be tolerated and will be dealt with accordingly. Destruction of school property will result in school discipline along with paying restitution for property that has been damaged or destroyed, and possibly being criminally charged by our local police or sheriff’s department.
We urge you as the parent or guardian to speak with your child about appropriate behavior in social situations, and how poor decisions now can impact their future. We want nothing more than our students and staff to take pride in our school and respect each other and their learning environment.
Thank you for your support!
