A Round of Applause for Staff!
Mrs. Brown received the affirmation below from one of our Apollo Families!
"Mrs. Brown is one of the kindest and caring teachers! She has went above and beyond with my daughter. I don't think my daughter would still be in kindergarten if she didn't have Mrs. Brown for a teacher!"

Reflections & Reminders
The next break is on the horizon. As we work through this next break, please take time to reflect and enjoy the time and opportunities for activities with your students. While we often look forward to a break, we must remember that not all students are feeling the same. Some students will react to the incoming break with energy and happiness, while others may exhibit more negative or unusual behaviors. Please try to keep the empathy and understanding for these students as we get closer to Friday.
Thank you all for your support of the Food Drive. These special activities and programs always create a little extra chaos and unstructure, so your support and willingness to engage is a direct reflection of the success we have!
HUGE Shoutout to Mrs. Ashcraft and the 3rd & 4th Graders for an INCREDIBLE music program. All students did a great job and it was really awesome seeing the McConnell Color Guard present the Flags & Colors.
Mentor Visiting
My mentor, Nick Grummert, will be visiting on Monday morning. I hope to be out and about doing some pop-ins with him.
Class Schedules
Please double check that your classroom schedule within the Master Schedule is accurate and up-to-date. There have been some times where the schedule has not reflected where the classes have been. Thank you for helping ensure this is accurate for Britt, Tristan,
CKH Start Strong Survey
Be sure to take the Strong Strong Survey questions. If you haven’t you can access these by 1) logging in to iheartckh.com, 2) click on the “Start Strong” heart, and 3) answer the three questions in the top left corner. The more staff that completes this, the greater change we have at repeating as National Showcase School.
Recess Supervision
-Please ensure all staff are spread out during recess which includes the rocks, grass, cement, gaga ball, etc. Proximity should be used to help minimize possible issues. This includes paras and teachers.
-If your grade level has multiple subs, please ensure at least 1 grade level teacher is on duty with them.
-Please be sure someone takes the walkie talkie to every recess. If everyone makes it outside without it, someone should go back to get it.
