Celebrating a New Year at Wadsworth
Wadsworth Warrior News
A Letter from the Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are off to a smooth start to the New Year. This year, we have many fun and exciting new things going on at Wadsworth. Please make sure to mark your calendars...it is going to go by quickly!
1. Second marking period report cards were sent home on Friday, January 8th. Please make sure to review your child's progress, sign the report card, answer the question about parents being in the armed forces during the 2015-2016 school year and return the report cards to school by Wednesday, January 13th.
2. Over break, Wadsworth was fortunate to receive new, hi-def cameras to replace the old system. These cameras were part of a three year plan. The high/middle schools and Ready Elementary school were part of years one and two. Beiriger and Wadsworth were part of year three. These cameras will help ensure the safety and security of your children at Wadsworth.
3. Our PTC and Student Council have been hard at work planning many wonderful events for the remainder of the school year. Please check these events out and let us know if you are interested in volunteering to make these events the best they can be for our students. I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday break and are ready for the New Year!
4. Congratulations to our students and their families for helping Wadsworth get to 97.07% attendance rate for the first semester! We had seven classes that tied for having a 98% attendance rate for the first semester! These classes will receive a popcorn and movie party for their hard work. Let's keep up the good work this nine weeks and shoot for 98%! We can do it!
5. Congratulations to Mrs. Shiperek's fifth grade class for earning 1200 blue ribbons on Study Island. They have been working very hard during the first semester to earn their blue ribbons. Keep up the good work! We cannot wait to see how many blue ribbons they earn this semester!
Educationally yours,
Mrs. Melanie McClure
