April 20, 2018
Hello Parent and Guardians of the Pawsome Pumas,
We are hoping that Spring has finally decided to share its light and heat on the State of Wisconsin. Only time will tell. Prairie had a great week that was highlighted by our Embracing Diversity Assembly on Wednesday. A special thank you to the PTA for sponsoring our Good Friends presentation on Tuesday, April 17th. Good Friends went into the classrooms of our grade levels and shared more information about autism with our scholars. I would like to also give a special thank you to Common Council President Aaron Perry who has arranged for our classroom ribbons that embrace diversity to be displayed at City Hall. I also want to thank the Prairie Culture Committee for creating the opportunity to ensure that diversity is celebrated at Prairie.
We know that we are getting close to the end of another great school year. However, we will continue to educate our scholars at a high level each and every day. We also have a number of outstanding events that include but are not limited to:
Fifth Grade Celebration
and so much more. Have a great weekend Pumas. Be sure to enjoy the sun with your family and friends.

And the classromm with the most Collections items for the school year will get to transform Mr. Griffin into Pikachu at Puma Palooza on May 5th.
Puma Palooza: Saturday May 5th 1:00-6:00 p.m. at Prairie. Come for an afternoon of family fun, food, and a chance to win fantastic raffle and silent auction items! Food and additional vendor activities available for purchase. Rain or shine. Hopefully we’ll be done with the snow by then! The public is welcome so invite your friends and family also.
We still need lots of helping hands to make this fun event possible. The class with the greatest percentage of parents who volunteer will get the chance to silly string the Puma Claws mascot at a school assembly. Please sign up to help here: Puma Palooza Sign Up
