Principal's Message

Hello Parent and Guardians of the Pawsome Pumas,

We are hoping that Spring has finally decided to share its light and heat on the State of Wisconsin. Only time will tell. Prairie had a great week that was highlighted by our Embracing Diversity Assembly on Wednesday. A special thank you to the PTA for sponsoring our Good Friends presentation on Tuesday, April 17th. Good Friends went into the classrooms of our grade levels and shared more information about autism with our scholars. I would like to also give a special thank you to Common Council President Aaron Perry who has arranged for our classroom ribbons that embrace diversity to be displayed at City Hall. I also want to thank the Prairie Culture Committee for creating the opportunity to ensure that diversity is celebrated at Prairie.

We know that we are getting close to the end of another great school year. However, we will continue to educate our scholars at a high level each and every day. We also have a number of outstanding events that include but are not limited to:

Kindergarten Concert

School Concert

Puma Palooza

The classroom with the most Collections items for the April collection will be visited by the Puma Claws mascot and will get to host our Puma Claws mascot until the end of the school year. And the classromm with the most Collections items for the school year will get to transform Mr. Griffin into Pikachu at Puma Palooza on May 5th.

Puma Palooza: Saturday May 5th 1:00-6:00 p.m. at Prairie. Come for an afternoon of family fun, food, and a chance to win fantastic raffle and silent auction items! A $10 wristband includes most activities - Midwest Speleo Cave, trackless train, inflatables, tie dye, henna and local dance and sports teams. Food and additional vendor activities available for purchase. Rain or shine. Hopefully we’ll be done with the snow by then! The public is welcome so invite your friends and family also.
