Thunderbird Parent Newsletter
August 27, 2021
Greetings Thunderbird Families,
I am pleased to say that the first few days of the school year have gone very well. It is wonderful to have students return that were distance learning, former students happy to be back, and welcoming new students to our school. Teachers and students are building relationships and students are learning routines/expectations. We started the school year in the same manner as far as Covid expectations, therefore it was a fairly smooth transition as nothing really changed.
As you can see below in the pictures, it was wonderful having parents back in the building! Other pictures are showing what our lunch time looks like implementing seating charts and safety protocol, as this is one of the times that students are able to unmask throughout the day.
We are off to a great start!

DROP OFF/PICK UP PROCESS IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL
*Please do not park in the drop off/pick up zone. Traffic needs to flow in order for this process to work. If you feel a need to park, please use the parking lot across the street. Thank you for your help in improving this process. We will be working with Security Forces to help us with this process.
*Buses park on the north side of the cross walk to ensure the safety of students that use the cross-walk.
*Please be aware of the cross-walks at Sycamore and Louisiana. We do have students that use these and want them to be safe using them.
Thank you for helping keep the students safe!
