Broad Street Newsletter
February 2021
A Note from Ms. Alexander
Dear Parents/Guardians,
On January 15, Broad Street Elementary School kicked off a building-wide celebration called Amazing Americans. Each day through the end of February students are learning about the contributions an Amazing American has made to our country to make it better. The Americans students are learning about represent different races, genders and ethnicities. Below I have included a calendar that shows the Amazing Americans your child will be learning about each day. I encourage you to ask your child who they have learned about and what their contribution was to our country. At the end of each week, an announcement will be shared with you on Seesaw so that your family can see who we learned about at school that week. There are books about each Amazing American that can be clicked on in the Seesaw post and accessed through Epic. Your child’s Epic account will allow them to read the books during school hours Monday through Friday. You can also watch THIS video to learn more.
