A Message From Mrs. Burko

Hello!

We are beginning another exciting week at Culbreth Middle School and there is a lot going.

As we head into this week please continue to remind your students of the importance of completing their attendance and work. If students need additional support on assignments they can reach out to their teachers during office hours. Weekly assignments are being posted here by teachers on Sunday. You can also find information for logging in to PowerSchool in the same location.

Many of you have reached out about agendas. Good news! They've arrived. If you'd like an agenda for your student(s) you may stop by the school Monday- Thursday from 8:30-3:30. You may also pick up hard copy Study Synch for your student's ELA classes then, too.

Have a great week!

Yours in Service,

Mrs. Burko

Curbside Book Pick Up Begins This Week

Even though school is closed, your CMS library is still here for you!

We are so excited to offer several new services starting this month!

The first is our Curbside Pickup Service. Similar to public libraries, requested books are available for pickup at the school.

How does it work?

Step 1: Student searches the online catalog for titles. They will sign in and place the books on hold.

Step 2: Ms. Steele and Ms. Martinez will collect the books. Students will receive an email notification when books are ready for pickup.

Step 3: Come by the school Wednesdays from 1-3pm. When you arrive at the bus circle, your books will be ready to take home. You can also return any books from school, not just library books.

A tutorial video by Mr. Graña at Smith MS will take students step-by-step directions.

We also have a partnership with the Chapel Hill and Orange County public libraries. Students can use their digital libraries by logging in with a student number and PIN. Here is a video tutorial on how this service works. In case the PIN for signin does not work, call the public library to ask for a PIN reset.

Our library website has been updated with many resources for reading, learning, and fun. Take a look around! You can read ebooks, go on museum tours, and learn new skills. You can also find more information about our new services.

Incase You Missed It: Open House

If we missed you on Thursday don't worry! Here are recordings from the event as well as our slides.
