What's Your Why?

In the video below you will hear Eric Thomas ask professional athletes what their why is. While watching this it made me think what is my why. Why do I do what I do? As most of you know my parents were young teenagers when I was born. I rarely had what I wanted but usually had what I needed. Below is a picture of my why. I don't ever want my boys to have to go through the things I went through growing up. I don't want my boys to loathe bologna and mac and cheese, like I do because it is the only thing that was affordable. My why pushes me to be the best that I can be, to put in long hours, to come in and kill it day in and day out. I'm passionate because I was taught by a teacher (imagine that, Mr. Lesh) that education was my WAY out. Did you read that!? EDUCATION was my WAY out of poverty, of repeating the cycle that I was living in! My why, will continue to motivate me day in and day out! So I ask you. What is your why? I'd love to hear about it. Thank you for all that you do for our students. You just might shape and change your students life!
