Happy Spring Break!
Lockers are Live!
You may have heard through the grapevine that students have lockers. Well the grapevine is true.
We have assigned lockers and will spend the week after spring break training and supporting students in getting used to using a locker.
Beginning April 18, we plan for students to have full use. Meaning they’ll bring just materials necessary for their class. Purpose for implementing lockers is to assist students with another level of organization, lighten the load of materials they carry, and provide a secure space for them to store their materials.
We’ve been to classrooms to provide some guidelines regarding when lockers can be accessed, where each grade levels lockers are located, and reminders on not sharing their combination.
Your student’s locker combination is accessible on Powerschool, cvsd.powerschool.com. It doesn’t appear that’s visible on the app.
We will definitely be providing leniency as students learn their lockers. As they become more proficient, the new routine of bringing just what they need will be a welcome habit.
