Library Link

September 2019

Director's Note

Meet Beth Schaefer! She is the newest member of our staff and holds the title of Adult Services Librarian. Beth has lots of library experience and we are so excited to have her!

Beth has hit the ground running and has been busy planning programs. Iowa author Linda McCann will be at the library on September 26th at 6:30pm discussing her new book, ‘Prisoners of War in Iowa’. Linda will discuss the approximately 25,000 foreign POW’s that were housed in Iowa camps during WWII. It is sure to be a fascinating discussion.

We have two new reoccurring adult programs on the calendar. ‘Unraveled’ an introduction to various fiber arts will be the 4th Friday of every month at 10:30am. ‘Make and Take’ crafts will be the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm. And we will continue to have book club once a month and cribbage every Thursday. Watch our Facebook page and this magazine for upcoming adult programs and speakers!
