A Message from Dr. Lowry
Good Afternoon WoodCreek Family!
This week, we are entering the final 4 days of the 1st six weeks grading period. Friday is a student holiday, and I am sure a much needed break for our students.
In Athletics news: Both our football and volleyball teams continue to represent us well. Our 8th grade football teams did great this week against Tays JH and our volleyball teams clenched a program sweep against Katy JH. Volleyball also performed well in their tournament over the weekend! Congratulations to all!
In Fine Arts, our Band and Choir students attended the Katy High School football game. Choir performed the National Anthem and did a tremendous job; and the 8th grade band students got to experience the atmosphere and performance of a high school football game. It was an outstanding experience for all.
As we all know, this past week was a busy one and I continue to be amazed by the great work everyone is putting in this school year. I hope everyone has a great week and GO TIMBERWOLVES!

Help Support One of Our Teachers - Kara Kelly
A message from Ms. Kelly:
This September, I am riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
My goal is to pedal 200 miles throughout the month. So far I’m up to 166!
Why am I doing this? Because cancer is the largest killer of children from disease in the United States - 38 children die of cancer every week. It's awful to think so many young lives are lost to this terrible disease.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
To show my support, I am taking on this 30-day challenge to support cancer research and give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
It will be a tough month, but it's nothing compared to what these brave kids face every day as they battle this disease and fight for their lives.
So today, I'm asking for your support.
Please support me by making a donation through my fundraising page:
https://greatcyclechallenge.com/Riders/KaraKelly/d
All funds raised will support Children's Cancer Research Fund to continue their work to develop innovative treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Thank you for your support!
