Rooney & Hassman's Tribune

Week of May 16th - May 20th

3rd Grade Visits Thursday and Friday!

It is hard to believe that a whole year has gone by since our current 4th graders visited Horizon as 3rd graders for a tour of the school. Now, it is their turn to be the tour guides.

On Thursday and Friday (5/26 and 5/27), we are asking that our students bring lunch from home rather than take a hot lunch. On these days, classes of third grade students will be joining us to become familiar with the school, and that includes lunch time. So that every student can enjoy lunch without an exceptionally long line and being rushed, please plan to have your child bring their lunch on those days.

Thank you so much for your help in making our job as 4th grade hosts run smoothly!

Thank you to all who were able to make it to our Wax Museum! We hope you learned something new and were able to enjoy "meeting" some important people of our past and present!

What's Going on in Fourth Grade?

Math: Students continued their work with comparing fractions by finding common denominators or benchmark fractions to compare two fractions. Be sure to ask them all about it!

Please continue to practice those math facts at home to keep them fresh in our minds!
