Doyle Day 2017
Representing their grade levels, Saylor George, Emily Van Why, Ben Rusiloski, Ryley Shissler, Elliott Downey, Emily Gerstein, and Maeve Terrill, share the 50 reasons students love Doyle with the #1 reason being their love for our staff..
Retired staff members lit the candles on Doyle’s birthday cake and students and former staff blew out the candles. All present rededicated themselves to the Doyle mission statement and sang our brand-new school song written by Gianna Miller and Ms. New.
Join us for our community celebration, June 2nd at 5:30 – Liana’s Legacy!

From the District
New Immunization Requirements
As of August 2017, a student must have all immunizations completed within the first 5 days of school.
If the student is in the middle of a series and it is too soon for the next dose, parents must provide the school nurse with a plan for immunizations (signed by a health care provider) within the first 5 days. If the student has incomplete immunizations and no medical plan, the student will be excluded from school.
You may check your child’s school immunization record by logging onto the parent portal through the district website at www.cbsd.org or by consulting with your child’s physician.
CB Cares
CB Cares: May Boomerang Award
Young person has a healthy sense of personal power. He/she believes they can effect change and make a difference in their school and/or community. They believe they have some control over things that happen in their world, that things just don't happen to them.
Nominations are due by May 22. Please keep in mind that anyone (teachers, family members, friends, neighbors) can nominate someone they know.
April Asset #25: Reading for Pleasure
When Evan gets engrossed with a book, he pays attention to little else. He even missed his bus once because he was so into his book! When we go out to dinner or on a trip, Evan always brings his books. It can be challenging to get him to put it down.
When the summer comes, we never have a problem getting Evan to read. He thoroughly enjoys it and loves to share his reading experiences with friends and family.

From the Community
Bike Advisory Committee
Doylestown Borough Bike Advisory Committee is hosting a special event on Tuesday, May 9th from 5:00-7:00pm at Chapman Park.
Lose the Training Wheels and Learn to Ride! This is an opportunity for your child to shed their training wheels and learn to ride their bicycle with the help of volunteers including amateur and pro cyclists. Professional bike mechanics will be on-hand to evaluate the safety of your child's bicycle and your child's bicycle helmet. In previous years we've had a great deal of success in helping a high percentage of children who've participated successfully transition to riding on two wheels.
