Engaged, Well Rounded Students

As you are aware, the KCSD has adopted a new Community Based Accountability System (CBAS) Model to focus on ALL the wonderful things taking place in our Kenton County schools. This forward-facing model focuses on so much more than just an end of the year test score. The 7 Pillars of the CBAS model are listed below:

1. Student Learning and Progress
2. Student Readiness
3. Engaged, Well-Rounded Students
4. Community Engagement and Partnerships
5. Professional Learning/Quality Staff
6. Fiscal and Operational Systems
7. Safety and Well-Being

Data has been collected and analyzed for each of the seven pillars above. The current status of each pillar was shared with stakeholders in November and February, and will be shared once again in May. All of this information and the current status of each pillar can be found on the district website.

Piner Elementary would like to make sure we have the most up to date information about all the wonderful school based and community based activities our students are involved in (Pillar 3, Engaged, Well Rounded Students). To help us gather this information, please complete the Google Form linked below, for each Piner student by Friday, April 29th.

Construction Updates

Construction and renovations at Piner are well underway. The crew is currently working on the new addition along with the library renovations. Library and gym renovations are projected to be finished by the end of May and the new addition by the end of July. The remaining building renovations and construction projects will continue throughout the summer and the start of next school year. Because of all the work needing to be done, the building will be closed during Spring Break and throughout Summer months.
