Classroom Happenings
We started our health classes on Tuesday, spring pictures took place on Wednesday, and our class enjoyed being the "Garden Gnomes" at the school-wide Orca Olympics. It was another great week with your fifth and sixth graders.
What's Next
Art Fair projects are due Wednesday. Students will share their project with the class, explaining their inspiration for the piece and what it means to them. Then, on Thursday your child will write an artist's statement to accompany the art piece at the fair.
Tuesday evening at 6:30pm is the Spring Music Concert. I look forward to seeing all of you at the Mariner Theater to celebrate the musical talent in our school. Be sure to take the time to watch our Volunteer Appreciation Video in the commons before entering the theatre. Many of your faces are within the video. We will be hosting a bake sale and we are in need of as many baked goods as you are willing to provide

Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week!
A big thank you to the many parents who make our classroom run smoothly. I couldn't do my job well without all of you, and I greatly appreciate your support. In honor of your hard work and dedication to our school, we will be sending a small gift in your child's backpack this coming week, so be on the lookout for a small token of our appreciation.
Also, be sure to watch our volunteer appreciation video in the high school commons before/after the Spring Music Concert this week. Many of your faces are found within the video.
