The Geography
Hard To Live On...
Japan is a large group of islands located off the Asian mainland. The islands were the tops of mountains which were difficult to live on. Most people lived on flat coastal plains near the sea.Benefits Of Geography...
China and Korea were only a short distance by sea from Japan. This provided easy access to other countries. The geography allowed them to get food like Shark, seaweed, and Fish.
Disadvantages Of Geography...

The History
Feudalism
- Feudal Japan: 1185 - 1603
The Emperor and the Shogun were the highest ranking nobles. During Japan's feudal period the Shogun held the most power while the Emperor was more of a puppet figure with little actual power. As the Shogun was a military leader his sword, was an important part of his attire.
Peasants
Peasants were divided into several sub-classes. The highest ranking of the peasants were farmers. Farmers who owned their own land ranked higher than farmers who did not. Craftsmen, or artisans, were the second highest ranking after the farmers.
Women
Women who belonged to the aristocracy were allowed to take part in politics. Women could also become samurai warriors but this was not allowed if they were in the aristocratic class. Although women were allowed to become samurai, a male samurai of equal rank could give orders to a female samurai.
Shintoism
-It is based on animism.
-Natural wonders make the Japanese believe, out of an awe, that such wonders are created by the mighty, super-natural powers.
-To dedicate, shrines were erected in a sacred spots throughout Japan.
-Shinto can also be said the religion of rituals or ceremonies mostly for purifications or exorcism, which can often be observed even at the corporate society.
Current Events

-At present, the government regulates money transfers to groups and individuals overseas that are designated as terrorists in accordance with U.N. Security Council resolutions.
-As of February, 85 groups and 374 individuals were subject to limits under the Foreign Exchange Control Law.
