Our Digital Year In Review!
The Best of the Best From Our 2013-14 Year!!!
It has been a fantastic year of digital learning for students at Oak Hills Elementary!
There are quite a few apps and web tools that are not in the newsletter list that I would like to celebrate by mentioning here.
- iMovie, Keynote and Pages are paid iPad apps that represent the backbone of our digital work!
- I have also not included the many coding apps that we used this year. There are so many good options that are all great! Kodable, Hopscotch, Botlogic, and Scratch represent a few that we tried and found really helpful for learning coding!
- Our district is launching Schoology in the fall. This learning management system (LMS) will likely be a real game changer for our digital lessons. Look for more on that in future blog posts!
- Also absent from this list are digital tools that I found especially helpful for managing and delivering lessons from behind the scenes. Smore, the web tool used to make this flyer is especially helpful for sharing. Blendspaces is a web tool that is helpful for delivering lessons with web content. Slidely makes great slideshows. Pixlr is my "go to" image and collage editor. Flipsnack is a paid web tool that has been great for taking student Google presentations and turning them into eBooks.
