Morning Dropoff Expectations
Please be aware that every student is expected to be in the building and in class by 8:02 a.m. or be marked tardy. If you arrive late, please drop off your child at the main entrance in the front of the building.
We recommend riding the bus for those students able to do so. If you need to drop off your child, you may need to alter your schedule to arrive earlier. The building opens at 7:40 am and students may go to the cafeteria to wait for the school day to start.
Thank you for your cooperation.

OPTIONAL Parent Teacher Conferences
The 1st quarter for the 2021-2022 school year ended Thursday, October 28th. We will be conducting OPTIONAL parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, November 11th from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm and Friday, November 12 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Again this year, conferences will be held virtually via Google Meet.
Conferences are NOT mandatory. In fact, there are far fewer conference slots for a teacher than he/she has students. Please only schedule a conference if you have a pressing issue or concern that requires a discussion with the teacher. Teachers are always available via email to answer your questions!

Adapt for life
Nov 5, 2021
Dear Parents,
As you know, Sycamore Community School District is partnering with Cincinnati Children’s Adapt for Life program to educate our students, staff, and families on the important topic of mental health and wellness. I’m excited to inform you that, in the next couple of weeks, facilitators from the Adapt for Life program will be working with our 5th, 7th, and 9th grade students. Later in the semester, Adapt for Life facilitators will be leading sessions for 6th, 8th, and 10th grade students. We are committed to the ongoing support of students and Adapt for Life will return in the Spring for follow-up sessions.
Adapt for Life promotes the importance of mental health and wellness. Students develop healthier behaviors and adaptive coping strategies that lead to healthier lives and more desirable outcomes. Information will be provided to students through a range of experiences including presentations, videos, and activities. Each student will leave with a personal “toolbox” of healthy coping skills they can use now and into the future. With practice, these skills can become habits that will help your child tackle stress and other life challenges.
We are fortunate to have the opportunity to bring this program to students. Parents can contact Lisa Zelvy at zelvyl@sycamoreschools.org or Stacey Hoffman, Program Manager for Adapt for Life, at stacey.hoffman@cchmc.org with questions. For more information about the Adapt for Life program, please visit: AdaptForLife.org
Thank You,
