Report Cards and Parent Teacher Conferences

Please be on the look out for a notice from your child's teacher regarding Parent Teacher Conference times. All next week we will be on a minimum day schedule to allow for parents to meet and discuss student progress with teachers. Feedback is a critical piece to student achievement, and we are looking forward to meeting with everyone. Report cards will be reviewed as well.

Online Tutoring and After School Academic Support

In conjunction with the Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation (MMCF), MES teachers will be starting an online tutoring and after school virtual academic support for students. We will be providing more information in the coming weeks. Currently, Mono County Office of Education is sponsoring a distance learning homework help as well (see flyer below).

Ski & Snowboard Programs

This Thursday, November 12 at 5:30pm, MES will be hosting a virtual school ski team meeting for parents of students grades 3-5 who are interested in joining the Mammoth ELementary Ski and Snowboard teams. The Zoom link is below.

Mammoth Mountain Ski Area will be providing $5 tickets to all MUSD students again this year. They are finalizing their logistics on how those will be purchased. We will notify families once that is confirmed.

For those parents whose students will be on Mammoth Mountain Ski and Snowboard Teams, we are making plans to allow for flexibility and release time to allow for on snow training for our winter athletes.

Lunch Program

Free school lunches are available from MUSD for all families regardless of income qualification. Pick up is between 11:30-1:00 pm at Mammoth High School and from 11:30-12:30 at Crowley Lake Community Center.

We still encourage all families to fill out an online meal application form. Click here to fill out your meal application online.

Move Your Body Challenge

MES PTO is launching the Move Your Body Campaign. The goal of is to provide inspiration for kids to get some physical fitness into their day, every day. Monday at 2pm is our first KidFit Move Your Body workout. This is a LIVE workout with our very own MES parent Lindsay Barksdale as the trainer. PTO has paid for this class so that it is FREE for ALL MES students. This will be a recurring event every Monday at 2pm. VFit's motto is "Never Miss a Monday", and we think that's a great mindsight for adults and kids alike.

Monday's VFit Zoom Link as well as daily challenges are located here on the Move Your Body calendar: https://mammothpto.org/pages/move-your-body

PTO is also having a great sale on spirit wear! Be sure to head to their website at https://mammothpto.org/ to get some new gear for you and your student.
