Next week is

Big picture
Due to COVID-19 things will look different this Homecoming. We will not be have a parade and the High School will not be having a dance.

However, to keep the Hornet Spirit alive and to celebrate we will be having school dress up days.

Recognizing Positive Behavior

This week we would like to recognize Adrian S. from Mrs. Alexander's class for positive behavior. Keep up the great work!

Parent Pick Ups

We had an incident last week where an email came through after the 2:00pm cut off. However, after the parent reached out it was apparent that this email had got caught up in our email filter/server and would have been received on time. Other than this incident, emails have been working great! I ask that if you send in a email for a parent pick up and it has been more than 30 minutes with out a confirmation email sent back to you, please call the office so we can confirm that we did in fact receive that email. In 3 weeks this has happened 1 time, so I don't see it becoming a big issue, however, If it does we will address it as we go.

Thank you for your flexibility.

Big picture
Mr. Kotek would like to congratulate Sophie Kowalczyk on her reading efforts during the 2019-2020 school year. Sophie was the school's winner of the library's first 40 Book Challenge competition. In fact, she went above and beyond and read 100 books last school year. She was awarded a trophy for herself and a plaque commemorating her achievement has been placed on the wall in the elementary school library. Congratulations Sophie and Mr. Kotek can't wait to see which student wins this year's 40 Book Challenge. Good luck to everyone participating!

*** Mrs. Mackie will choose their book and deliver it to them for now. ***
