Note From The Principal's Desk
Greetings!
As the second semester comes to a close at the end of next week, be sure to be checking Jupiter for grades and progress. We are wrapping up our second round of NWEA testing this week and next and so far have been excited to see the growth that most students are showing! It is just one data point, but the assessment does give us valuable data that the teachers use to guide their instruction.
A special shout-out to the choir that performed last Sunday at the 54th Annual Christmas Concert. As it was my first time seeing the concert, I came away thoroughly impressed with their performance. I am looking forward to tonight’s concert as well!
With one week left of the semester, please help remind your child to continue to give their personal best each day – growth happens one day at a time!
Thanks and have a great weekend!

Primary and Intermediate Christmas Program
Christmas Program 2017
Primary and intermediate students are pleased to present their Christmas Program on Friday, December 15th at 7:00 pm in the Holy Name of Jesus Church. The students have worked very hard throughout the year and are eager to share what they have learned.
On December 15th the main school entrance will be open from 6:30pm. All students should be in their classrooms by 6:45pm. Homeroom teachers will be there to supervise children. Please do not come before 6:30pm as doors will not be open.
It will be dark and the parking lot will be busy so please accompany your child to their homeroom before going to the church to find a seat.
Students can wear holiday/smart clothes for the performance. Many students like to dress up on the night but we ask that there is no writing on shirts. Jeans, shorts and spaghetti strap tops are not appropriate. Please keep comfort and ease of movement in mind when choosing outfits/shoes. The church will get hot so please do not wear warm bulky clothes.
After the performance all students will return to homerooms with their teachers. For safety reasons we ask that you go to your child’s homeroom and pick them up there.

Wanting to be of service to others? Looking for an opportunity to be of service?
Moms/care-givers of infants and toddlers who are looking for a way to be of service to others have a wonderful opportunity to do so by bringing your little ones to a Kindermusik class at Our Lady of Grace Monastery in Beech Grove once a week with the senior sisters. Kindermusik is a movement and music class for infants and toddlers. Kindermusik studies have shown that music and movement have positive impacts on not only children but seniors as well. By bringing the Kindermusik experience to the senior sisters, we are able to enrich the lives of children and seniors alike. There are still a few openings in the class. It is truly a magical experience for all involved. For more information contact: Jody Treadwell, Director at 317-513-5941
