What foods should you eat if you play sports?
Filling your body with many healthy calories, vitamins and minerals is important when you're an athlete.
Protein- (meat, poultry, eggs, seafood, nuts, dairy)
Carbs- (fruits, vegetables, whole grains are the best)
Vitamins- (found in fruits and vegetables)
and also Minerals like calcium (found in dairy products)
You also need plenty of fluids before and after the game to stay hydrated. Drink lots of water before and Gatorade or other sports drinks to replenish electrolytes.
Also make sure you're eating enough calories. Since you are burning a lot of calories when you're excising in sports you need to be sure to take-in many calories.
