Introduction to Canvas Course - Now Open!
Canvas PD for SDUSD
The introductory course for Canvas is now open and all staff should be auto-enrolled into the class.
If you cannot see or access the Canvas PD for SDUSD Staff, please CLICK HERE to join the class.
To access the course do the following;
- Go to https://sandiegounified.instructure.com
- Log in using your district email and Active Directory information
- You can access all of your courses by clicking Courses from the left-hand navigation bar. You should see:
- A sandbox course with your name on it. This is a great place to play and try things on.
- If you had any My Big Campus content, you will see a migration course. This is a great place to upload any My Big Campus drive content you backed up previously.
- A link to the i21 online Canvas PD for SDUSD Staff, course.
- Secondary Teachers, please click here to review a very important job aid!
- Additionally, when you are directed to your Canvas dashboard you can scroll down to see the Canvas PD for SDUSD Staff, course tile below the slideshow.
- Click on the tile to access the course.

Just A Reminder: What PowerSchool Will Do
- Canvas will use PowerSchool data to automatically create courses for all SDUSD teachers.
- Grades will be synced automatically between Canvas and the PowerSchool gradebook, although the process can take up to one hour to reflect your additions or changes. It will be important to check your PowerSchool gradebook to make sure content has been posted accurately.

- Canvas Student Guide
- First stop when you need help - talk to your teacher
- Restart your browswer
- Try another browser
- Clear your history and cache
- Doublecheck your log-in: are you using all caps?
