Apple TV Tips

Your iPad and Apple TV together are powerful teaching tools in the classroom.
If you are using your iPad to teach, make sure to check the following settings.
Rotation Lock
2. Tap the Rotation Lock button.
Quick Timer
1. Open the Control Center.
2. Press & hold on the Timer button while moving your finger up/down to change the time.
3. Tap the Start button.
Do Not Disturb
1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Do Not Disturb.
3. Under Silence, tap Always.
4. To turn on/off, open the Control Center.
5. Tap the Do Not Disturb button.
Auto-Lock
1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Display & Brightness.
3. Tap Auto-Lock.
4. Tap to choose a time length.
NOTE: If you select Never, you will have to manually put your iPad to sleep or the battery will run down.
AssistiveTouch
1. Open Settings.
2. Tap General.
3. Tap Accessibility.
4. Tap AssistiveTouch.
5. Toggle the AssistiveTouch option to ON.
AirPlay
Setting that allows people to send you files via the Bluetooth connection to your device. (This is not for students!)
1. Open Settings.
2. Tap General.
3. Tap AirDrop.
4. Tap a setting to select:
- Receiving Off - No one can send to you via AirDrop.
- Contacts Only - Only Contacts listed in your Contacts app can send.
- Everyone - Use With Caution! Anyone can attempt to send you anything via AirDrop.
