Monday's Orchestra Mass Rehearsal
(The following e-mail was sent out by Nicolle Stern on 5/16)
Next Monday I need the 7th and 6th grade orchestras to join the 8th grade class for an all orchestra piece. Please allow the following 7th and 6th grade students to attend 6th period. If you have an academic reason not to allow a student to attend the rehearsal please let me know. Thank you for allowing students the time at the end of the year crunch. I am hoping to not have them the entire class period so they can pick up missed work from class.
Tuesday's Band Mass Rehearsals
In preparation for the Spring Band Concert on Wednesday, and the activity day on Wednesday, mass rehearsals will take place during the school day on Tuesday. See the times below for the grade level and periods for rehearsals.
- Period 5: 8th Grade
- Period 7: 7th Grade
- Period 8: 6th Grade

Returning Curriculum Materials
The following information was shared out earlier in the week by Jennifer.
OLL and the warehouse have put together some guidelines/procedures to follow when sending curriculum materials back to the ELSC.
- When can old or unused curriculum be sent back? Old or unused curriculum can be sent back to the ELSC during the months of October, January and April.
- Is there paper work to attach to each box? Yes, attached is the form that needs to be completed and attached to each box that is being sent back. That information needed to check items in efficiently.
- Boxes will not be picked up/transported if the form is not attached to the outside of each box.
- Can any size of box be used? No, the guideline of box size that can be used is approximately 18”L x 12”W x 12” T or smaller. This is comparable to a paper box. Larger boxes will not be accepted or picked up. Some of the boxes that have been used have been extremely difficult to move and manage.
- Who requests pickup/transfer of boxes? The responsible staff person(s) at the schools will remain responsible for requesting the transfer of curriculum materials.
These guidelines will help to facilitate smoother returns.
If you have any additional questions please contact Justin Mullan at 558-3258 or Julie Meyer at 558-1680.
