Principal's Update

Hello Wolfpack!

Our school has completed our first quarter and is into second quarter. As I reflect on this time, I am grateful for many things. I wanted to share a few of them with you.

I am grateful for our students with whom I recently met. Our Student Voice group gave feedback about how things look and feel from a student perspective. This information will help us better serve our community. Students are connecting to traditions such as Friday morning dancing in the commons. Students are engaging in events that create a sense of community.

I am grateful for the support of parents. Parents work hard to advocate and partner with us in their student’s education and wellbeing. We had amazing parent support at our fall events including concerts, plays, and sports. Every week a parent reaches out with a suggestion that helps NC be better for all students. Please consider joining us for our next Family Engagement Committee.

I am grateful for teachers, paraeducators, counselors, secretaries, nurses, cafeteria workers, custodians, and support staff. Each cares about student success and has the best interest of our students at the core of their work. Every day I see dedicated and hard-working individuals reaching out to ensure great things are happening here at North Central.

The strength of the wolf is in the pack.

Tami McCracken

Class Competition Rules!

French Club Crepes

Last week in French Club, we made some crêpes. The students brought toppings, and we used an easy batter to create delicious crêpes. We talked about what goes well with our crêpes, including bananas, strawberries, whipped cream, Nutella, and blackberries. These turned out super tasty! My only regret was not taking more pictures.

Are you interested in exploring French language, culture, and cuisine? Join us at French club! On Tuesday we will be watching Ponyo in French with English subtitles. Come for popcorn, a cute movie, and a good time with the French Club!

Tech Time

SPS Flyers, Infographics, Posters, Oh My!! Adobe Express is approved and available to all students and staff through Clever. Access premium features with Adobe express. New Downtown Stadium

NC Staff had the opportunity to walk through the new downtown stadium and see some of the great progress they are making. We are excited to see this dream come together just a few blocks from our school! We'll have the opportunity to walk through it again in the spring to see the newest completed projects. The anticipated opening date is in late summer or early fall, 2023.
