Mounds View principal position
A message from the Superintendent
July 15, 2022
Dear Mounds View community,
As you know, this morning Stephanie Bruggers announced she will be leaving Mounds View High School to become the principal at Mahtomedi Middle School. Stephanie has led Mounds View for seven years, serving as principal the past five years and as assistant principal for the prior two years. I am very grateful for the leadership she has provided the community during this time.
I am pleased to announce Edgewood Middle School principal Rob Reetz will succeed Stephanie as principal of Mounds View High School.
Rob is an exceptional instructional leader who has served our district’s secondary schools for the past 15 years. Prior to serving as principal of Edgewood for three years, Rob was principal of Chippewa Middle School for four years, and he led all District professional development as a professional learning specialist for two years. Rob previously spent five years as an instructional strategies facilitator and special education teacher at Irondale High School. Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from University of Minnesota – Duluth, a master’s degree in special education from Augsburg College and an education specialist degree in leadership, policy and administration from University of St. Thomas. He lives in Mendota Heights with his wife Liz and their daughters Grace (13) and Mae (11).
During his time at Irondale, Rob played a key role in implementing the successful and innovative Early College programming in both of our high schools. He brings a high energy, student-centered focus, and I know he will continue to advance the achievement for all students at Mounds View High School.
Please join me as we thank Stephanie for her service and welcome Rob to his new role in the Mounds View High School community.
