Raptor ID Check System
Dear parents and guardians,
We would like to make you aware of a security upgrade at all of our schools. Beginning Monday, Nov. 27, all visitors who enter a school building during normal school hours will be required to check into the school office and present a valid Identification ( Drivers License, State Issued ID, Military ID, or Consular ID ). Upon arrival, your identification will be scanned using the Raptor Visitor Management System. This software was purchased using funds provided by the State of Wisconsin School Safety Grant. Raptor provides immediate, real-time background checks on individuals to identify sex offenders and deny them entry. Once a visitor has been scanned, the system will print a visitor ID badge that is worn by the visitor for the duration of their visit. We ask that the visitor present their ID each time they visit and a new visitor badge will be printed. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding with this new procedure and know that you share our desire to keep our students and our buildings safe. Thank you.

Lunch Time Supervision (repeat item)
At Horning we are committed to have a safe, welcoming lunch environment. As a part of our efforts we would like to have capable, enthusiastic lunchroom supervisors in the cafeteria. Here is where our Horning Community needs your help. We are looking for supervisors to monitor the cafeteria during our 1st lunch, which takes place on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:18am-10:48am and Wednesday 10:34am-11:04am. This is a paid duty, $18 an hour. If you are interested in supervising, please send an email of interest to Kenyell Hutchins @ email@example.com with your contact information included. Please note, a background check is required prior to start date. Looking forward to working with you in the near future.
2018 iPad Refresh Info
- Look at the back of the devise to see if it has ‘14-7’ etched on the back.
- You may call or email the IT Help Desk at ITHelpDesk@waukesha.k12.wi.us or 262-970-1073
All refresh iPads will come to the Horning library. Students will be notified via email when their iPad is ready for pick up. A pass will also be sent to the student letting them know to come to the library. Requests for early iPad pickups may be difficult to accommodate because it may already be in transit to the school or not ready yet. We appreciate your patience with this process.
There will be a letter going home with students explaining the refresh and purchasing options of the student's old iPad. This letter will explain all options of purchasing the iPad as well as conditions for purchasing.
If you have any questions about the refresh please contact Luke Christopherson
