From the Principal:

Welcome back everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful break with family and friends! We only have a couple of weeks until Christmas Break, and they are filled with lots of fun and activities!

We had a successful week of fall benchmark testing. I am proud of our students and staff as they worked hard this week, following a week off from school!

Monday is our 2nd Grade Christmas Program. Make plans to attend this annual event! I know I am looking forward to it.

Don't forget that Friday, December 16, is an Early Release Day for all Life School Campuses. We will dismiss at 11:55, and all students will need to be picked up by 12:30. Thanks for your help!

Have a great weekend!

Counselor's Corner:

The character trait for December is Caring. Caring means being empathic and helping others in need. Talk to your children about how you demonstrate caring for others in your roles as parent, worker, and friend; and point out examples of when you have witnessed caring behavior in your children.

From Our School Nurse:

Strong Immunity: Plenty of sleep, exercise, a good diet and minimizing stress all contribute to an immune system that can stand up to the flu.

Wendy Santos, RN

From Our Specials Teachers:

Art: Looking for a fun free family activity? General Admission to the Dallas Museum of Art is FREE! Schedule your visit today!

PE: Tip for not over eating at holiday parties or while you’re out running errands, have a bite to eat of something so you don’t risk becoming starved before you go.

Computer:Next week, December 5th-December 9th, in the Computer Lab, we will be discussing the importance of Internet Safety. Your students will receive an activity sheet for you all to review and discuss at home. The activity sheet gives you information to reiterate to your students about the importance of being cautious when chatting and communicating online via social medias and other applications for communication.

Music:You are invited to see the annual Christmas Show of "How to Train Your Reindeer (To Fly)" by Teresa Jennings and Karl Hitzemann presented by LSRO 2nd Grade. 2nd Grade students will arrive at 5:30 and the show will begin promptly at 6:00PM.

Uniform Exchange: December 9th 10:15 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.

All items will be $1. You will also be able to exchange up to 6 items. We will accept small bills and credit cards. If you have any items you would like to donate, the box is in the front office. All proceeds will be benefiting our Special Education classrooms.

Don't Forget!

  • It is very important that you have your hang tag hanging from your mirror and student card visible each and every time you are picking up students.
  • All visitors will be required to submit a driver's license/ state id and have it scanned in order to be admitted into our campus. Please be prepared for this when you come to the office to check in.
  • Just a reminder that tardies start at 7:55.

PTO News:
