COVID Update
In all things,
Mr. Schrenk and Mr. Wild
Reminders:
Please continue to do health checks before coming to school each day.
Please report all positive cases on the day they are received.
Students with any symptoms should stay home from school.
Any students showing any symptoms will be sent home from school with testing recommended.
All mitigation protocols put in place last week will continue this week.
Returning Students:
Students returning from the 5-Day Covid quarantine will have to follow the guidelines for a Modified Quarantine. Students under this mitigation must remain masked at all times and eat lunch separately from unmasked students for another 5 days. The students may eat in the back of their classrooms or in a separate location.
3 in 5 Rule:
With the increase in positive cases continuing over the weekend we will begin to follow the Office of Catholic Education’s guidelines for shutting down a classroom or cohort. To keep it simple, it is the “3 in 5 Rule”. If there are 3 positive cases in 5 days, the classroom will be placed in quarantine and will move to virtual asynchronous and synchronous learning for 5 days.
If this happens:
Day One the instruction will be asynchronous with assignments placed on Google Classroom.
Day Two through Five will be virtual, synchronous instruction with direct instruction through Zoom.
Vaccination Status- in the coming weeks, we will begin to gather information about the vaccination status of our students. As the pandemic moves into the spring, vaccination status may make a difference when, and if, a class is quarantined under the "3 in 5 Rule".
