TSM High School Parent Newsletter
Empowering minds, impacting change!
October 2, 2023
I hope that you are doing well and feeling great!
I wanted to share a few TSM updates. Rebecca Spencer, our office administrative assistant, has decided to pursue other career opportunities and will no longer serve as our Clerical IV. We are grateful for all she did to support the school community and wish her all the best in her next endeavor. Her quiet spirit and compassion for all will truly be missed!
Please join me in welcoming Teela Caldwell-Bell to the high school family as the new Clerical IV. Teela previously worked in the elementary building in the Clerical II position. Pack your patience as she transitions in this new role over the next few weeks. Her tentative start date is Wednesday, October 4. In the meantime, you can direct any questions/concerns to Principal Williams.
Wednesday, October 4, is Count Day and we are looking for 100% attendance! Please reach out to Mrs. Monica Drake Howard if you need to report an absence or if you have any questions related to attendance. Her email address is monica.drake-howard@detroitk12.org.
There is one additional update on the construction happening on the campus. The contractor completing the sewer line project will commence the final phase starting Wednesday, October 4th. Some work may start as early as 7AM. Please follow the exit signs as the project progresses, exits may be adjusted due to construction activity. Please see map below. Your continued support and cooperation is very much appreciated!
