The Weekly Link:
Dear Parents,
Well, we made it.
YOU made it.
You made it happen.
We can't thank you enough for all your hard work. We always begin the Weekly Link with a note to celebrate, but this one is the big kahuna of celebrations as we close out distance learning! Take time to celebrate your successes and crossing the finish line!
This week the Counselor's PowerSchool page student lesson tasks the children with reviewing the year, assessing their growth, and setting goals for the future. We recommend logging into the Counselor PowerSchool page and reviewing this lesson with your child. If you find yourself looking for summer enrichment, there are powerful lessons on the page. They present opportunities to explore your child's mindset and guide them as they grow. Counseling lesson for the last week of school!
Typically we list one link each week, but since it's our last letter, we want to leave you with some of our favorite links from past letters, and a few new resources so you have them all in one place.

CALIFORNIA HEALTHY KIDS SURVEY (CHKS)
California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) has developed a survey to obtain information from students about learning during the pandemic. The questions have been adapted from the school climate survey in the CHKS core module to learn about students' mental health, stress, and coping skills during distance learning.
Student participation is voluntary. It is also very important. The information provided will help guide district and school efforts to promote safety, enhance learning supports, improve student achievement, and reduce health risks that stand as barriers to learning.
This is an anonymous survey. It is designed so that no one can be identified from the data. Students do not have to respond to any questions that they feel could be used to identify them. Instruct them to simply skip any such questions.
All questions apply to this school only, and the results are for the use of CUSD. CDE and WestEd will preserve data confidentiality and refer any data requests to the district.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCESSING THE SURVEY
Access the survey using the following URL:https://surveys.wested.org/chks/RG629NJ
