THE BROOKLYN NINE

A Novel In Nine Innings

The Brooklyn Nine By Alan Gratz

The Brooklyn Nine is a story that includes nine mini stories about nine generations of baseball players and the challenges that they overcame during their lives. These challenges range from life threating events to dealing with bullies in school. These stories take place in New York and Northern Virgina and happen during 1845-2002. There are several interesting characters within each mini story.

And most of the characters are related somehow through each generation.

The point of view of this story is to always do whatever it takes to fulfil your dreams.

ONE FAMILY, NINE GENERATIONS. ONE CITY, NINE INNINGS OF BASEBALL!

THERE ARE 299 EXCITING PAGES THAT WILL KEEP YOUR INTEREST TO THE POINT OF NOT BEING ABLE TO PUT THE BOOK DOWN!!

The theme of The Brooklyn Nine is that even though everyone tells you that you cannot do something, if you work hard and never give up, you can succeed.

I apply this theme by always trying my hardest. I'm always working as hard as I can for my spot on my teams. And I always make sure I show up to my practices and games with a positive attitude, even though people may think I can't do it. Even when I'm off the field, I will always try my hardest and do what I have to do to succeed! By doing this, I always know that I have given 100%.
