Week 9 ROAR!
Waterbury Community,
We have finalized the class sections for AM/PM as well as in-person or remote. We are so excited to welcome back kindergarten, first grade, and DESTINY students to in-person learning on Monday, October 19th. We've included a lot of helpful information on the return to in-person learning in this newsletter.
We've created a map for your reference. This map shows some changes to the flow of traffic and parent parking, due to health and public safety. We've asked all staff to park behind the school. There is no family parking behind the school, but family parking is available on the blue highlighted area of the map. When dropping off your child, we would prefer for you to stay in your car; we will have an abundance of staff to help escort your student to door from the car, and vice versa. Please remain beyond the dots if you are a parent of a child who walks to school to minimize contact.
To help each family navigate our parking lot more efficiently and effectively, we are turning part of our parking lot into a drop off zone for intermediate students (3-5th grades). As identified by the orange marking on the map, students will be dropped off and utilize the sidewalk to either cross walk spots where an adult will escort them across traffic. Primary students (K-2nd grades) will continue to use the existing indented drive. Again, we will have plenty of staff to assist your child to get to the correct door. For primary students, this will be similar to the picture day we just had.
On our website, you will find our Waterbury's Covid Processes.
We have a partnership with Roselle Park District and they are offering limited number of spots for before school, half day and after school day care.
