See What's coming home on March 4th--Original Works!
Dear Rankin Families,
We are excited to announce that Rankin Elementary PTO has teamed up with Original Works to offer an exciting art-based program at our school. Through this program, you will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of products featuring your child’s very own artwork, while also supporting the educational opportunities of the local school community.
On Wednesday March 4th, your student will come home with a packet of art projects that you will have the option to be made into wonderful keepsakes. Original Works will take your child’s artwork and reproduce it onto a variety of high quality products. Each classroom has spent the year creating at least three pieces of artwork done by your child and you will have an opportunity to purchase items with their amazing work on them! These range from magnets, mugs and mouse pads, to tiles, t- shirts, note cards and many other products. Folders with your child’s artwork and order forms will be sent home on March 4th. Follow the instructions in packet and return packets with artwork and orders.
Orders with payment are due March 16th @ 3pm. No exceptions! Please contact PTO parent Brittany Rech at rankinparentpack@gmail.com or 890-4225
Earn a Free Ticket to Silverwood!!!
Rankin Elementary is taking part in an exciting program that's designed to get your child reading for fun! It's the Silverwood Read 2 Ride Challenge. Every student who completes at least 10 hours or 600 minutes of recreational reading will earn a ticket good for free admission to Silverwood Theme Park. It's fun, it's easy, and it doesn't cost a thing!
YOUR CHILD CAN EARN A FREE TICKET TO SILVERWOOD THEME PARK!
Here's how it works:
•Students in grades Pre-K to 6 in participating schools are eligible to join.
•Your child brought home a Tally Sheet/reading log. Your child must use this sheet to write down all the things he or she reads, and the number of minutes your child spends reading. Then date and initial each reading session. This sheet must be signed by a parent or family member and returned when completed or your child may not be awarded a ticket. Parents must total the minute on the sheet before turning in!
•Make sure your child reads for at least 600 minutes or 10 hours total over the course of the next several weeks. Sheets are due back no later than Tuesday, March 31st. There will be no exceptions to late turn in of sheets.
•Reading must be completed by the date written on this letter by the teacher or coordinator and on the front of the Tally Sheet. Your child MUST turn ALL SIGNED Tally sheets(Parents must total the minute on the sheet before turning in!
Blackout days apply (See letter below) Tickets not valid for Scarywood
