All school and classroom helpers, field trip chaperones, and party helpers must attend a training session and sign the confidentiality agreement to begin volunteering.
COORDINATED STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
Some students received a general invitation to start working with a member of our student support service team this week. Students were identified for groups based on SRSS scores in the spring and SWIS data.
Many of the services will take place in room 121. Some of the services will take place with Mark, Chrissie, Jen, or a special education case manager.
Every day: Chrissie, Jen, Mark, special education case managers

LEARNING WALKS
Learning walks return... but I need your input!
First up... Domain 2: Classroom Environment
View the Learning Walk Form: CLICK HERE
The learning walk language is based on the components straight from domain 2 of the Danielson Framework (found on the ojr lib guide too).
Learning walks will start on Monday, September 16 after I solicit feedback during our 7:50 meetings from 9/9-9/13.
Feedback after learning walks will be shared during 7:50 meetings, on-the-spot, and in the Monday Memos. We're looking for building trends of strengths and areas of need, not individual performance.
PROFESSIONAL GOALS and MEETINGS
SLO Goals: Based on academic standards, student performance and growth, academic assessments
Professional Goals: Separate from SLO goals, relate to our communication goals
Goal Meetings: Will be scheduled through a Google Doc - CLICK HERE to schedule
FIELD TRIPS
All grade levels should schedule two off-site field trips per year. Please work with Nancy to schedule your field trips by September 30.
Find Field Trip Information in the Staff Handbook: CLICK HERE
Few notes:
1. PTA provides a field trip stipend of $10/student each year. Be sure to request funds from PTA.
2. Only one trip can be scheduled on a particular day.
3. If traveling out-of-state, we must seek school board approval (e.g. NJ and DE).
DUTIES
If you have lunch detention duty, please be sure to check in the cafeteria and lend a hand if there are no students in lunch detention on your assigned day.
Day 5: Lunch detention duty rotates among your team. You decide the rotation.
Indoor recess: Our paras will provide support but all teachers should be available for supervision and transition except the teacher on lunch detention assignment.
Lunch and recess should be monitored actively and at all times. Staff should assume their posts and keep adult conversation to a minimum.
WELCOME ABOARD
Welcome back to Cloe Wind who is working temporarily as a paraprofessional for 90 school days.

OFFICE REMINDERS
Skyward attendance must be entered by 8:50 am each day.
Pick-up and early dismissal notes must be initialed before sending to the office. If your student will not be in your classroom at pick-up time, then note where the office should call to avoid disrupting multiple classrooms.
Cafeteria notes and monies go to the cafeteria, not to the office.
Return your walkie talkie to the charger as soon as you no longer need to use it since we need to provide to other staff for dismissal.
All staff must sign-in and sign-out in the office when leaving or returning during the school day.
Remove special paper after printing. When using the office color copier, make sure no one is sending a print job. We've wasted a lot of colored paper and card stock already.
PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP
Join the PTA for just $5.00! Sign-up using a membership form that may be found in your mailbox and place the completed form and your $5.00 in the BIG RED PTA box in the main office.
Why become a member of the PTA?
You can submit receipts for school purchases up to $100 for reimbursement!
We are part of the title of the association... parent-TEACHER association :)
Partnering with parents helps our students, helps our school, and helps YOU!
Bragging rights... our goal is at least 50% of staff participation.
