The Collegiate Programming and Advisement Department has compiled a list of scholarship opportunities that range from elementary to high school. Below are the SEPTEMBER scholarship listings.

LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP SPOTLIGHT
Congressional Nomination to a United States Service Academy by Congresswoman Kay Granger
Recipients of this full tuition scholarship must be/submit:
- Be at least 17 years old, but not have passed their 23rd birthday
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be unmarried, not pregnant and without legal obligation to support
- children or other dependents
- Must reside within the boundaries of the 12th Congressional District of
- Texas
- Must meet the medical, physical and academic requirements of the
- Academy

Horatio Alger Texas Scholarship - Ronald C. Waranch Foundation
Recipients of this scholarship must be/submit:
- Be enrolled full-time as a high school senior, progressing normally toward graduation, and planning to enter college no later than the fall following graduation
- Have a strong commitment to pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution);
- Critical financial need ($55,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is preferred; if higher, an explanation must be provided)
- Involvement in co-curricular and community activities
- Demonstrate academic achievement (minimum GPA of 2.0); and
- Be a United State citizen

Texas Music Educators Association
Recipients of this scholarship must be/submit:
- Must enter as a full-time student in a Texas College or University in the Fall 2023
- Must major in a music degree program leading to Texas teacher certification with music as the primary teaching field

Make plans to attend your one-stop shop for all things higher education at Fort Worth ISD’s Annual College Night, Monday, Sept. 19, 5:30-8:30 p.m. This is an event where students and parents within and beyond Fort Worth ISD can explore college, career, and military options.
You don’t want to miss this event at the Amon Carter, Jr. Exhibit Hall, Texas Room, 3400 Burnett-Tandy Drive, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Register today to meet representatives from more than 250 colleges and universities across the United States. Attendees can expect direct access to recruiters and admission officers from colleges, universities, trade, technical schools, and the military.
On-going seminars begin at 5:45 p.m. There will be information about financing a college education, scholarships in Tarrant County, the college admission process, and much more. Translators will be on-hand to support Spanish-speaking families.
Parking at Amon Carter Jr. Exhibit Hall is $10 (subject to change). However, FREE parking is available at Farrington Field, where there will be a ride shuttle to the event location.

TARRANT TO & THROUGH PARTNERSHIP
The Tarrant To & Through (T3) Partnership aims to ensure more Tarrant County students have the training and skills they need to thrive in today’s workforce. All it takes is a simple pledge.
For students taking the T3 Pledge, a team will help them build a customized plan focused on life after high school. Eligible students will receive scholarship funding, mentorship, persistence coaching, and resources to T3 partner colleges/universities.
The T3 Pledge is a small action that will position a student to pursue education beyond high school, with confidence!
